Who is it accountable to?

This multi-agency partnership is accountable to the Health & Wellbeing Board and reports to the Safer Sefton Partnership and the Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner.

The governance of the CDP is summarised below:

Who is it accountable to?

Sefton agreed the geographical area of their Combating Drugs Partnership and the local Senior Responsible Owner (SRO).

Each local Senior Responsible Owner represents the whole of their Combating Drugs Partnership (CDP), which holds joint overarching responsibility for the local drugs delivery plan.

The voices and full involvement of people who have experience of drug-related harm are an essential part of this partnership, including people who use (or have used) drugs. Involvement is invaluable for involving those with lived experience of substance use and recovery and their views are captured through work of established subgroups.

Sub-groups help shape provision and make decisions about work across all three strategic priorities to improve residents’ lives.
