Merseyside BioBank (MBB) is the Local Environmental Records Centre (LERC) for North Merseyside, including Sefton. MBB collects and collates information and records on wildlife within North Merseyside, from a wide range of sources, including local volunteers, professional consultants, local government and public sector agencies and national recording schemes and societies.
MBB provides access to species, habitat, and other biodiversity information in the North Merseyside area, helping others better understand the biodiversity of North Merseyside. This includes, for example, in relation to planning applications and sites, the public and local organisations. Many users are charged for this information.
