Your Community

The Youth Ambassadors

The Youth Ambassadors are cared for children young people who work closely with Sefton Council to support the improvement and development of services for our cared for children and care experienced young people. The Youth Ambassadors is your chance to have a voice in how we work here in Sefton.

We have fun sessions and activities to meet other people who are cared for and make friends. We have gone kayaking and rock climbing in the past as well as the cinema.

If you would like to join the group or would like more information you can contact:

Participation Officer, Cheryl Yates: Cheryl.Yates@sefton.gov.uk

We want you to be active members of society, and to have all the chances in life that other children and young people have. We can help you participate in society in the following ways:

  • Providing information on groups and clubs you may wish to join.
  • Informing you about relevant awards, schemes and competitions you can enter, in line with your talents and interests.
  • Informing you about voluntary work that we think you may be interested in.
  • Support to access a free leisure pass or Choices Card for all leisure facilities in Sefton.
  • Giving you advice and helping you to challenge any discrimination you face as a cared for child.
