Please use your brown bin, or recycling sack, for:
- CARD: Keep it clean and dry.
- Boxes (e.g. cereal boxes, delivery boxes, dishwasher tablet boxes), corrugated cardboard, egg cartons, envelopes, plain greeting cards and takeaway boxes.
- CARTONS: Remove any food/drink, give them a quick rinse and pop them in your recycling.
- Juice cartons, milk cartons, plant-based drinks cartons e.g. oat, almond, soya milks and soup or sauce cartons
- GLASS: Remove any food/drink, give them a quick rinse and pop them in your recycling.
- Drink bottles of any colour (e.g. wine, beer, spirits), jars (e.g. sauces, baby food, spreads) and non-food bottles (e.g. perfume bottles, aftershave bottles)
- METALS: Remove any food/drink, give them a quick rinse and pop them in your recycling.
- Aerosol cans (e.g. deodorant, hairspray, shaving foam), aluminium foil, biscuit/chocolate/sweet tins, drink cans, foil trays and food tins
- PAPER: Remove any plastic wrapping and free gifts from newspapers, magazines and flyers before recycling
- Brown paper, envelopes (including windows), gift wrap wrapping paper, leaflets and flyers, magazines, brochures, and catalogues, newspapers and supplements, paper tape and white paper (e.g. computer paper, letters)
- PLASTICS: Remove any food/drink, give them a quick rinse, put the lids back on and pop them in your recycling.
- Bottles (e.g. drinks bottles, cleaning bottles), pots (yoghurt pots, plant pots), takeaway containers, trays/punnets (e.g. vegetable, fruit and meat trays), and tubs (e.g. ice cream tubs, butter tubs, sweet tubs).
- No plastic bags! Plastic bags can not be separated, can damage equipment and increase costs
