There are estimated 120,000 street and park/green spaces trees that are under the management of the Tree and Woodland Team, which consists of five qualified tree officers with a combined experience of over 60 years in urban tree stock management. All tree work is carried out by an external contractor.
Additionally to managing existing tree stock, the Council’s Tree and Woodland Team also oversee the planting of trees throughout the borough. Tree planting is undertaken in the winter months between October and March.
