A massive congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part in Sefton Stars this year!
Sefton Stars is the staff recognition programme, where any member of Council staff can be nominated for their exceptional work around the Borough.
The 2025 Stars award event was held at the Waterfront Hotel in Southport. Organised by a committee of Council staff who volunteered to put on a memorable event for their colleagues, the awards afternoon was a great success.
As well as putting the spotlight on people nominated for their efforts in 2025, the Long Service award highlighted people who have committed decades to Sefton Council - with many in attendance notching up over 40 years of service each.
How to nominate
We were blown away by how many people took the time to nominate a person or a team for their excellent work in 2025.
A number of people kindly agreed to talk about their year and the importance of the awards, and you can read all of the interviews here.
If you want to nominate someone or find out more about the programme, just visit the Staff recognition Intranet page.
