Southport School Street & School Neighbourhood Pilot

Sustrans and Sefton Council are working collaboratively with 3 High Schools in Southport on developing a pilot project to deliver 2 School Streets and a 1 School Neighbourhood project. This project was originally planned to link to the Active Travel Routes from Ainsdale to Marshside.

The Active Travel Routes are not being taken forward at this time, however further discussions on walking and cycling routes will be made in the context of the emerging Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan for the Sefton.

The pilot schools are as follows;
• Birkdale High School – (School Street)
• Greenbank High School – (School Street)
• Stanley High School – (School Neighbourhood)

For more information on the work undertaken so far with the schools please visit the Sustrans project hub.
