04 June 2026 2 min read

The England Women’s World Cup 2027 qualifier against Ukraine will take place on Tuesday 9 June (8pm kick-off) at Hill Dickinson Stadium and supporters are being advised to plan ahead.

Bootle playing a central role

With high attendance expected, Bootle will play a central role in helping fans access the stadium efficiently through a combination of park-and-ride, shuttle bus services and rail connections.

For supporters travelling by car, the Strand Multi-Storey Car Park on Vermont Way (L20 4XZ) offers approximately 500 spaces and will remain open late to accommodate match goers. Additional measures will be in place on the day, including on-site staff to assist visitors and direct them safely to designated pedestrian access points.

From Bootle, supporters will be able to make use of a dedicated shuttle bus service (Service 939), which will operate directly between Bootle Strand Bus Station  and Hill Dickinson Stadium. The service is designed to provide a straightforward and reliable route for fans, helping to manage traffic demand and improve the overall travel experience on matchday.

In addition to shuttle services, Bootle’s transport links offer access to Merseyrail connections. Passengers can travel via local stations towards Sandhills, a key interchange for onward stadium travel.

Plan your journey in advance

Supporters are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and consider park-and-ride or public transport options wherever possible to ensure a smooth and safe experience on the evening.
