Sefton to showcase opportunities for SEND young people on National Supported Internships Day
20 March 2026 1 minmin read
Sefton Council is proudly joining the national celebrations for National Supported Internships Day on 27 March 2026, shining a spotlight on the life‑changing opportunities Supported Internships offer to young people with additional needs.
Throughout the day, three of our fantastic local Providers — Southport College, Hugh Baird College and SWRAC — will be opening their doors to showcase the incredible impact these programmes are having across the borough.
Each session will highlight inspirational Internship journeys and show how Supported Internships help young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) build skills, confidence and independence as they move towards paid employment.
These events offer a brilliant chance for young people, families and carers to come together, learn more, and celebrate the achievements of those already thriving on their internship pathway.
