Additional school holiday clinics in Sefton a chance to catch up on missed vaccinations

Additional clinics are taking place in Sefton, during the Easter school holidays, to help parents and carers make sure their children’s vaccinations are up to date.
Sefton’s School Aged Immunisation Team are running the clinics, which will take place on:
- Tuesday 31st March at Ainsdale Centre for Health and Wellbeing, 64 Sandbrook Road, Ainsdale, Southport, PR8 3RJ.
- Wednesday 1st April at Formby Clinic, Phillips Lane, L37 4AY
- Thursday 2nd April at Maghull Health Clinic, Westway, L31 0DJ
- Thursday 9th April at Maghull Health Clinic, Westway, L31 0DJ
They are for any children who have missed any routine immunisations such as MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella & chickenpox varicella), MMR - measles, mumps, rubella and HPV. Teenage boosters and meningitis vaccinations are also available.
Anyone attending needs an appointment, which can be made by calling 01512476130 between 9am and 5pm.
Catch up
Sefton’s Director of Public Health, Dr Rory McGill said: “The specially organised clinics are a great opportunity for parents and carers whose children have missed any of their important vaccinations to catch up.
“It’s the best way to ensure they have the immunity they need to protect them against potentially serious illnesses such as measles, HPV and meningitis.”

More clinics will be taking place during the May half-term holiday on:
- Tuesday 26th May at Maghull Health Clinic, Westway, L31 0DJ
- Thursday 28th May at Ainsdale Centre for Health and Wellbeing, 64 Sandbrook Road, Ainsdale, Southport, PR8 3RJ.
