Sefton’s pools are set to launch brand new swimming timetables complete with a selection of new sessions on March 1, 2018.

Dunes Splash World in Southport, Bootle Leisure Centre and Meadows Leisure Centre will be introducing a variety of new swim sessions that have been specifically designed to match the feedback residents gave in a consultation last year.
This comes as part of Sefton Councils measures to improve the swimming offer in the borough made possible by grant funding from Sport England.
Swim a mile, play with friends, swim and chat- our public sessions are open to all.
Float away and experience the benefits of swimming in a relaxed pool environment.
Mood lighting and gentle music will create a relaxing atmosphere for participants who will be able to swim in a tranquil environment, enhancing both physical and mental wellbeing, Ideal for those recovering from ill health or those who simply want to enjoy swimming in calmer waters.
Younger and older swimmers (under 16's and over 60s) can access discounted £1 swims. Check out the timetable for designated sessions.
Our range of swimming lessons provide the opportunity for both children and adults to learn to swim, gain confidence and progress into our host swimming clubs.
Lessons are held daily and include:

Swim and Splash
Time for our younger swimmers to have some fun in the pool.
Music, floats and fun equipment will await participants. Don't forget to look out for our monthly Wave Rave and inflatable sessions. Splash with friends at your own coloured pool party and visit during the school holidays when sessions will be discounted as part of the Be Active programme.
Get Healthy Get Active
Our 12 week swimming confidence course is designed to support some of our most vulnerable adults get back in the pool. Adults with learning disabilities and over 65's (and their carers) are invited to brush up on techniques and rebuild their confidence in the pool enabling them to enjoy the benefits of swimming independently.
Did you know that swimming is one of the greatest forms of exercise?
Whether you're Micheal Phelps or Eric the Eel, Swim Fit sessions will give you the opportunity to train in a lane relevant to your ability. Plan your own session or simply get in and burn off some calories. Look out for our instructor led sessions that will encourage you to swim an extra length or two.
Pick up a swim tag from reception and track your swim progress!
Swim Tag fitness trackers keep a record of the speed, distance and pace of your swims. This is great if you're aiming to improve your fitness, train for an event or simply challenge yourself. You can log in to the online Swim Tag portal to check up on your progress and set your own goals.

Time to escape and have some you time!
Spend your lunch hour or end of the day at one of our designated adult only sessions.
