Children and Young People

We offer so much at Sefton Council, whether that’s at one of our libraries, leisure centres or a family wellbeing centre.

From time to time we all need a bit of extra help and support, this could be when first becoming a parent, when leaving school or many other life-changing events. At these times, our Localities Teams can work with people to help them, get back on track.

Our teams are based in the community, which means we have a good knowledge of the local area and can make better connections with the people we support and the many opportunities that Sefton has to offer.

By offering joined-up support, we can help people through more difficult times. We’ll find out more about your circumstances to see what is working well or what needs to change and based on what you tell us, we will provide support on issues including:

  • Parenting
  • Employment
  • Leisure and social opportunities
  • Good health and emotional wellbeing
  • Debt
  • Housing and Homelessness Prevention
  • Domestic abuse
  • School related problems - such as attendance

You can ask for support from localities teams in any family wellbeing centre, library or leisure centre.
