Firefighter Recruitment

FirefighterMerseyside Fire and Rescue Service are recruiting for Trainee Wholetime Firefighters to join their Recruit Course in September 2017.

The role of a Firefighter is to save and preserve endangered life by supporting and maintaining an emergency response service as well as assisting with the delivery of prevention activities to the most vulnerable people across Merseyside.

The requirements to be a firefighter are as follows:

  • Must have a Driving Licence 
  • Must be able to swim 50 metres in open water
  • Must be able to work at heights 
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces

In partnership with Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, Sefton@Work held 2 information sessions recently in Bootle and Southport to promote the vacancies. Both sessions were well attended by over 40 individuals.
