The Southport Town Deal Board, convened by Sefton Council, has been working to develop the investment plan and engage with local residents to ensure the benefits of the Fund reach everyone.
The Board comprises a range of industry leaders from both the public and private sectors, including some of the most prominent and successful businesses and key organisations in Southport.
As part of the raising awareness of the Town Investment Plan some Board members, including the Chair, introduced some of the main themes and Big Ideas. These videos are included below

Meet the Board
As co-founder of Bliss Investment Partners, Bliss Space and R3store Studios, Robert specialises in the hotels and leisure sector, residential and commercial property investment, and development.
Agnes is the owner and Managing Director of Hotel Enterprises Limited traded as Dukes Folly Hotel in Southport. She is a member of Royal Institutes of Architects, a Fellow member of Hong Kong Institutes of Architects and has been an award winning hotelier.
Alex Hatchman is the Chief Strategy and Operating Officer at Fletchers Solicitors on Hoghton Street, Southport. He holds a 1st Class Masters in Engineering from Oxford University, as well as a Masters in Business Administration.
Andrew is the Chief Executive at Sefton Advocacy, which specialises in delivering support and advocacy to residents across the borough.
David is a Director at Andrew Cunningham Building Design Ltd and has played a key role in the masterplans for a mixed-use cultural quarter in Barking, East London and the Tianjin Central Fishing Port in China. In his spare time David is also the secretary of Southport Civic Society.
Damien Moore MP
Damien is the Member of Parliament for Southport and a former Councillor on Preston City Council.
Dwayne is the Chief Executive of Sefton Council and the Lead Chief Executive of Health & Wellbeing for the Liverpool City Region. As a former Director of Health & Social Care, Dwayne is passionate at putting people at the heart of everything Sefton does as a Local Authority.
Greta is the Chief Executive Officer of Light for Life Sefton – an organisation providing a range of services to vulnerable people and their families across Sefton and those experiencing homelessness. Greta has a particular interest in developing multi-agency partnership responses to individuals and families experiencing multiple difficulties.
Ian is the Head teacher of Greenbank High School, a high performing secondary school in Southport, for 8 years. He is also the Executive Head teacher of Southport Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust that includes Stanley High School and Kew Woods Primary School.
James is the CEO of AdaptiveComms Group, known ans being an expert in his field looking at Business Growth, Business investment, Commercial Property and telecommunication solutions.
Mark is the Managing Director at Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and Growth Platform. He is also the Non Executive Director on the MSIF Board and specialises in talent development and business growth.
Mark is the Managing Director at Baltic Creative CIC, a company which provides a variety of commercial space for the Creative and Digital Industries. Mark holds a BSc Hons in Building Surveying and a Pd.D. in Urban Renewal.
Marion is a Sefton Council Councillor and Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills.
Michelle is Principal and Chief Executive of Southport College and KGV Sixth Form College. Before qualifying as a teacher in further education, Michelle’s career began in Liverpool working in medical research at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Michelle holds a Masters degree in Zoology and a BSc in Biological Sciences.
Norman is an International tourism and leisure attractions consultant who specialises in creating family-focused entertainment, from dynamic theme parks and immersive experiences. Norman was formerly a member of the North West Tourist Board Commercial Members Committee and has spent the last 12 years regenerating Southport Pleasureland.
Peter is the Chief Executive of the British Destinations Association, specialising in UK domestic and international inbound tourism. Peter is also well known for lobbying and working with Government, government departments and non-governmental agencies, industry groups and other trade bodies and association in support of UK destination-based tourism and visitor economy interests
Rob is the Director and Co-founder of Southport based award winning firm RAL Architects. As well as working across the UK on a number of architecture projects, Rob is also a Director at both the Southport Flower Show and Victoria Park Management Company which plays a major role in one of the largest annual events in the North West.
Sophie is the Investment Manager at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as well as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Sophie also sits on the St Helens and Runcorn Town Deals boards.
Susannah is the joint owner/Director of Remedy Coffee Lts and Remedy Churchtown Ltd and acts as the chair of both Southport Business Improvement District and Southport Pubwatch.
Therese is the Deputy Chief Executive/Director of Strategy at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust, as well as being a Trustee of Blackburne House Group. Previously Therese was a Director of Strategic Development and Partnership at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
