The Upbeat Beatles

The Upbeat Beatles are second to none – powerhouse vocals, precision harmonies and tight musicianship.

The guys have an easy, happy rapport with any crowd, giving them a reputation to be envied as the best in the business.

There isn’t a band to touch them – 8 bars of “Twist and Shout” and you will know why! No other band can perform this song like the Upbeat Beatles!

The show takes you through the Fab Four’s long and winding road from the early Cavern days through Beatlemania, America, Sergeant Pepper to Abbey Road, with narrative and full multi-media presentation.

If you love the Beatles you’ll love this show, and if you don’t love the Beatles you’ll love this show!

Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club – February

On the first Saturday of every month the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club offer a raucous evening of entertainment, bringing the best live stand-up to Southport!

Hosted by comedian Damion Larkin, who will often improvise his entire set to hilarious effect. There are no genuine comparisons to this man. He is a versatile and creative comedian who always leaves audiences wanting more.

All line ups are subject to change, but don’t worry, we’ll only replace them with someone twice as funny.

We will start with unison songs, and build up to harmony, according to the members in the choir.

Welcoming back the fabulous Korean soprano Elena Dee and the celebrated international soprano Alyona Kistenyova*, this award-winning Opera returns in a new production with exquisite sets including a spectacular Japanese garden and fabulous costumes including antique wedding kimonos from Japan.

One of the world’s most popular operas, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly tells the heart-breaking story of the beautiful young Japanese girl who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant – with dramatic results. Highlights include the melodic Humming Chorus, the moving aria One Fine Day and the unforgettable Love Duet.

With live 30 piece orchestra, this Opera is sung in Italian with English subtitles.

Giovanni Pernice - This is me!

Strictly Theatre Co. presents Giovanni Pernice – This is Me

Strictly Come Dancing favourite, Giovanni Pernice is back with a brand new show for 2020. The showman is set to light up the stage, along with his cast of professional dancers, for his fourth year of touring.

With the Italian’s natural charm is combined with beautiful choreography, perfectly complemented by a fabulous soundtrack. This is Me, pays homage to the music and dances that have inspired Giovanni’s career, from a competition dancer to one of the biggest names on the hit BBC show.

VIP Meet and Greet information –
These limited meet and greet tickets include meeting Giovanni for photo and autograph opportunities, plus a signed print.
The meet and greet is pre-show, 90 minutes before the show begins. All VIP ticket holders must arrive at least 10 minutes before the meet and greet is due to start. Anyone arriving late may not be accepted.

Adapted from the million-selling book, By The Waters Of Liverpool is a period drama set in the 1930s. The story opens in 1935. Helen Forrester is sixteen years old and fighting a bitter battle with her parents for the right to educate herself and go out to work. During the Great Depression, Helen’s father lost his fortune when the stock market crashed and the family were suddenly thrown into poverty. Leaving behind the nannies, servants and comfortable middle-class life in the South West of England, the Forrester’s chose Liverpool as the place to start over. Helen is treated as an unpaid slave and desperate to escape. By 1939, now aged twenty and with Britain on the brink of war, she has never been kissed by a man. But things start looking up for Helen when she meets a tall strong seaman and falls in love.
