Stall in Formby Village or at the duke street festival

Formby Village / Duke Street Formby Village / Duke Street,
Hi, myself and my team "Amigas" hold events leading up to Relay for life as a team. My daughter is 8 and has joined the team. She would like to hold a stall of handmade gifts and second hand (But in great condition) toys/games she has in order to raise money for Cancer Research. I have the relevant documentation "Letter of Authentication" to support my request. I would really love if you can assist as she is desperate to raise funds of her own. She attends our Lady of Compassion school in Formby.

Women Arise: The Battle for the Vote on Merseyside

Netherton Feelgood Factory, Glover's Lane, Netherton, Merseyside, L30 5QW
To mark the centenary of some women gaining the right to vote in parliamentary elections, Feelgood Learning is doing a three-session special on the battle for female suffrage on Merseyside from 11th July. This is open to anyone who is interested and it will concentrate mainly on events and personalities in Liverpool and the surrounding area.

The sessions will be held on Wednesdays 11th, 18th and 25th July between 1.30 and 3.30 at the Feelgood Factory.

The sessions will be as follows:
July 11th—The Straws that Broke the Camel’s Back
Women had been considered second-class citizens for centuries. What led them to start fighting back in the 18th century?

July 18th—Women Arise: Deeds Not Words
The fight for female suffrage and for a better deal for women with a particular emphasis on Liverpool’s own activists such as Eleanor Rathbone. This session will also look at some of the women who fought actively against the vote.

July 25th— 1918 and What Followed.
In 1918 some women got the right to vote in parliamentary elections but not all. The struggle for equal rights had only just begun.

For more details, phone the Feelgood Factory (0151 291 8010) or download the flyer from our website.
