Sefton Playing Pitch Strategy

The Sefton Playing Pitch Strategy was approved for adoption at Cabinet on the 21st July 2016 and officially adopted following the end of the call in period on the 2nd August 2016.  The final version of the Strategy together with a summary of the consultation responses is available below: 

The Sefton Playing Pitch Strategy is a strategy that assesses the demand and supply of playing pitches and what the key issues are in relation to playing pitches in Sefton. The strategy also comes up with key recommendations on how to improve the quality of playing pitches in Sefton.

The Strategy covers the following sports:

  • Football pitches
  • Cricket pitches
  • Rugby union pitches
  • Artificial grass pitches (AGPs) (Hockey)
  • Bowling greens
  • Tennis courts
