Consultation on the proposal to close Sand Dunes Nursery, Caradoc Road, Seaforth

Sefton Council has been formally asked by the governing body at Sand Dunes Nursery School, Seaforth to start a statutory consultation on proposals to close the nursery from July, 2019.

At a Cabinet meeting held on July 26 at Bootle Town Hall, it was agreed to start with a formal consultation in August.

The consultation period will run from 20th August until 19th October 2018. A copy of the consultation leaflet which outlines the proposals and explains the process is available below. It also includes some frequently asked questions which are based on previous school closure proposals and the type of information and support that might be required. As part of the process we will be holding meetings with staff, governors and parents/carers of pupils at the school on Tuesday 18th September 2018. Details of the times and venue are listed in the consultation leaflet. We will be writing to staff, governors and parents at the start of term with a copy of the leaflet to invite them to the meetings. Letters will also be sent to other parties or organisations who may be affected by the proposal. It is important that we hear the views of as many people as possible and this is your opportunity to make your views known.
