**Lydiate Primary School** The Governing Body of Lydiate Primary school brought their concerns about the school building to Sefton Council’s attention and the decision was taken to temporarily close the school while further investigations took place. "These have now been completed and the school is safe for children to return with effect from 6th January 2020. "The council secured temporary accommodation at Maghull High School for the pupils and staff of Lydiate Primary school, and we would like to thank the staff, pupils, parents, carers and governors of Maghull High for their support during this time. "Lydiate Primary School and Sefton Council will continue to work together, and following detailed surveys, have begun a works programme that will address remaining issues. "We are pleased that the school is reopening, and we look forward to welcoming Lydiate Primary School children back to school in the new year." /Ends
