Sefton’s Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board released its first quarterly news bulletin this week.

The newsletter, aimed at both professionals and Sefton residents, features local and national news relating to adult safeguarding, as well as updates about the Board itself.

There is useful information to be found in the first issue, including guidance on how local community groups and anyone holding events can invite the Safeguarding Partnership Board for talks and information.

Partnership

The Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board logoThe Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board was launched in July 2021 and is made up of over 20 agencies across the Borough, including Sefton Council, Merseyside Police, Sefton CVS and NHS Cheshire and Merseyside.

Together, the Board aims to help everyone to understand the part they play in protecting vulnerable adults and ensuring that everyone is kept safe and free from abuse. Partners work together to lead safeguarding arrangements across Sefton and oversee the effectiveness of the safeguarding work of its members.

Stay up to date

The Bulletin is created in partnership with all members of the Board and aims to keep people up to date with legislation changes, local events, and facts about adult safeguarding.

Michelle Creed, Independent Chair for Sefton Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board said: “I’m delighted to announce the launch of our new Bulletin, which is just one of the ways the Board is looking to engage with the Sefton community.

“Adult safeguarding is relevant to everyone, and the Bulletin provides an opportunity for people to empower themselves with knowledge about the topic.

“We’re proud of our first issue, but we really want residents and partners to have a big say on how future issues look. We welcome all feedback and suggestions.”
