Housing developer Sandway Homes is seeking people’s views on its proposals for a new, high-quality, residential development on the former Bootle High School site at Browns Lane, Netherton.

A row of newly-built terraced houses. The proposal by Sandway, Sefton Council’s wholly-owned housing development company, for the brownfield site at Browns Lane includes a mix of one, two, three and four and bedroom homes. By using varied designs, features, heights and scale, Sandway will create a diverse and attractive development that will also include the creation of a new, public open space adjacent to Brown’s Lane.

In the next few weeks, Sandway will be applying for planning permission for circa 55 homes, 15% of which will be marketed as affordable homes.

Feedback

Leaflets have been sent to local homes and businesses inviting feedback by emailing consult@sat-plan.co.uk by Thursday 14th September. Emails should be titled ‘Bootle High School’.

Once the planning application has been submitted, Sefton Council will write to neighbours with details of the application and the opportunity to make further comments. All the technical reports and plans covering matters such as highways, drainage, trees, and ecology, will be available at that time.

People can find out more about Sandway Homes at www.Sandwayhomes.co.uk.
