Schools forum
The Schools Forum was established by virtue of Sections 47 (1)
and 47A of the School Standards Act 1998 as amended by the Schools
Forum Regulations 2002/2114 and the Schools Forum (England)
(Amendment) Regulations 2005/3299. The regulations govern the
composition, constitution and procedures of the Schools Forum.
The purpose of the Forum is to provide strategic direction for
the funding of Sefton schools and support services in relation to
the new school funding arrangements covering the Dedicated Schools
Grant (DSG), The Schools Budget (centrally retained and Individual
School Budget), School Standards Grant (SSG), School Development
Grant (SDG), and wider issues such as service contracts and service
level agreements.
The membership of the Forum is 30. The membership is divided
into school and non-school members. The school members are drawn
from headteachers and governors and represent all types of schools
within Sefton (proportionate to the ratio of pupils in each type).
The composition of the Forum is set out below.
