Special schools
There are currently 5 schools providing special education for
young people with emotional and behavioural problems, moderate or
severe learning difficulties and physical learning
disabilities.
Sefton also has a Complementary Education Service supporting a
Home
Tuition Service,
Traveller Education and the Behaviour and
Reintegration Team. Two Pupil Referral Units cater for KS1, 2
and 3. Additional Learning Support Units have also been
developed with the support from Excellence in Sefton and
Neighbourhood Renewal funding.
Sefton also has designated Units in its primary schools that
support Complex Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning
Difficulties and Autism.
