Educational visits
Do you organise school trips or other educational visits for
young people?
The standards document below explains how trips must be properly
planned and managed in line with Sefton's policy. It gives you
access to up to date guidance and allows you to download the
necessary approval forms.
Southport Eco Centre
The Southport Eco Visitor Centre is cited on the
Esplanade Park and Ride site, close to Southport's famous
seafront.
The Eco Centre is a unique gateway into Southport, offering a
practical demonstration of sustainability and inspiring visitors to
consider their impact on the environment through stimulating
information and displays about energy, transport and climate
change.
The Centre hosts a multiple award winning education facility
with two teachers on hand to deliver inspiring and award winning
environmental education.
A wide range of topic based visits are available including
innovative learning in outdoor settings. All the visits are cross
curricular and linked to the National Curriculum across a wide
range of subject areas. New days are continuously being developed
and bespoke lesson plans can be devised to complement topics you
are covering in school.
For more information, please visit the Southport Eco Centre
website.
