Garden waste
Approximately 2/3 of all households in Sefton are provided with
a regular Garden Waste collection service.
For other householders a collection of up to 6 bags of garden
waste can be arranged.
Please note we will only collect natural waste such as
grass, leaves, weeds. We cannot collect bags/bins that
contain plant pots, litter etc as this would contaminate the
recycling process.
If you are using bags please ensure:
bags are tied
bags are not too heavy
The garden waste collected is taken to a site locally for
recycling.
Should I still use my compost bin?
Yes -
composting at home is good for the environment
and provides you with a useful soil improver free of charge.
