Schools Targeted Intervention and Improvement Team
The role of the Schools Settings and Improvement Service, as
part of Young People and Families, is to support Sefton schools
through a range of services and activities such as those listed
below. It also monitors and evaluates schools and, when
occasionally necessary, intervenes through the Schools Causing
Concern Protocol.
The Schools Settings and Improvement Service is responsible for
the following services:
- School Standards and Effectiveness
- Early Years and Childcare
- Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
and Healthy Schools
- Newly Qualified
Teachers (NQT) induction
- School Intervention and support
