About us
VISIT Sefton and
West Lancs (Visitors In Sustainable Integrated Transport) is
very much a partnership between Sefton and West Lancashire Councils
and Sefton CVS and West Lancs CVS. It has been endorsed by both
Merseytravel (Merseyside ITA)
and Lancashire
County Council.
Our aim is to mainly concentrate on improving the leisure
offer in the area and will include some limited infrastructure
improvements in specific locations. We hope to provide
stronger links between different visitor attractions/locations and
improve the information available to both local residents and
visitors, to enhance the awareness of sustainable travel
opportunities to and between the various visitor locations in the
area.
One of the opportunities to improve these links is the
development of this website. Aimed at giving improved information
on the area, places to visit, travel information and details of
many of the wonderful walking and cycling routes within the area,
we hope that you find the information useful and informative.
We would welcome any comments you may
have on things that you like to do locally that we could perhaps
share with others.
