Local Sustainable Transport Fund
Sefton is a partner in two projects funded
through the Depar
tment
for Transport's (DfT) Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF).
The LSTF provides funding for sustainable transport projects
that support the economy and reduce carbon emissions. The fund
will be available over a 4 year period from 2011/12 to
2014/15.
- The Sefton & West Lancashire Visitor Economy
Project has been awarded £1.55m in funding (see details
below).
- The first phase of the Merseyside LSTF project to support
sustainable access to employment opportunities was awarded
£4.87m.

Council Project - Supporting the Visitor Economy
- VISIT
Sefton and West Lancashire
Sefton Council and West Lancashire Borough
Council have developed a project to focus on supporting
and promoting the visitor economy of the area. The project
covers the Sefton Coast from Waterloo to Southport and inland
incorporating western parts of West Lancashire including Ormskirk
and Burscough (download
