Employment Land and Premises Study

The joint ‘Employment Land and Premises Study’ (ELPS) has been carried out by Sefton, Knowsley, Halton and West Lancashire Councils. The Study has looked at issues such as the need for additional business land and the quality of existing industrial estates and business parks. The Study will be used to inform each Council’s planning and economic development policies, and emerging Core Strategy.

The Study has been prepared on our behalf by Consultancy BE Group, and is base dated to April 2008. It was subject to a formal 6 week public consultation between 28^th May and 9^th July 2009.

The Employment Land & Premises Study has been undertaken to provide evidence to inform future planning policies. There will be another chance to comment on the suitability of sites for employment use as new policies are developed.
