Supporting people programme
The Supporting People Programme is a working partnership of
Local Government, Probation, Health, Voluntary Sector
Organisations, Housing Associations, Support Agencies and Service
Users.
Services commissioned by the Supporting People Programme are
flexible and, for some individuals, complement exisiting care
services to improve quality of life and enable people to live more
independently in the community.
Sefton Supporting People has entered into a number of
contracts with providers who will give support to vulnerable
people. This support helps people to live
independently.
Sefton Supporting People also looks to see if any other
services are needed, which could help people who may not be getting
any or enough support.
This is a big exercise and people's views and opinions are
very helpful. To get these views we speak to people who use
services, may need services and who provide services.
