Litherland Sports Park
Litherland Sports Park (map) is one of the
finest facilities within the region providing a wide range of
activities for all ages and abilities, encouraging use by the local
community and performance athletes alike.
The centre comprises of:
- 400m Athletics track
- 1km Cycle circuit
- 3 Synthetic turf pitches
- Fitness studio
- Conference / meeting room
- Active Sefton fitness suite
- Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services
There is no doubt that Litherland Sports Park has played a major
role in benefiting the local community as well as providing
facilities for athletes striving for excellence in their sport and
has been recognised for this by being chosen as one of the
designated training camps for the 2012 Olympic Games.
