By supporting and challenging, Sefton Children, Schools' and
Families Service works in partnership with schools to improve the
quality of provision and to help raise the standards of attainment
of our children and young people. Schools are at the heart of
our communities and it will be the task of the newly forming
Children’s Trust to offer, commission or champion the services that
they have helped to identify as being needed.
Currently, Children, Schools' and Families Service offers a wide
range of support services for schools, parents and pupils
including; admissions, educational welfare, educational
psychologists school meals, swimming, school support, standards and
effectiveness and early years and childcare.
Through the Extended Schools programme and Children’s Centres
programmes opportunities have increased and a number of additional
services have now been located in and around schools in Sefton.
This allows greater access for parents, carers, children and young
people to the services they need.
Sefton’s schools continually strive to provide services for our
children that are outstanding.
