Best Bar None

Best Bar None is a nationally
recognised award scheme for licensed premises which relates to the
four licensing objectives of
the Licensing
Act 2003.
The overall winner of the award in Sefton
benefitted from free advertising on Hackney Carriages declaring
them as Best Bar None.

All winners and accredited premises were also named on
advertising inside the taxis.
Best Bar None aims to:
- Reduce alcohol related crime and
disorder.
- Promote responsible management of licensed
premises.
- Reward the hard work of businesses in helping
create a safer night time experience for us all to
enjoy.
The scheme has many benefits to licensed premises which
include:
- Safer night time environment for all;
- Strengthening relationships with other enforcement
agencies;
- More customers through your door;
- Winners and accredited premises may also use the Best Bar None
logos on paperwork and publicity;
- Best Bar None plaques for all winners and accredited premises,
which can be displayed on their premises;
- Free publicity;
- Cheaper insurance;
- Unlike Best Bar None schemes in other areas, application in
Sefton is free.
