Inspection Conclusion - 27th June 2011
Today the Inspection Report of our
Safeguarding Services and our Looked After Children Services is
published by Ofsted. You will quickly see that it is an
extremely positive report of the good and outstanding work we do
across Sefton for children, young people and families. It
confirms everything I have said in my earlier Blogs about how
Inspectors were really impressed by the excellent commitment of
staff and partners to improve outcomes for children, young people,
our strong partnerships across the Borough and our unrelenting
ambition to do our very best. The report also celebrates how
“self-aware” we are in Sefton, knowing the things we do well and
knowing the things we want to do better – and having good delivery
plans to put the improvements in place. So in my final Blog
on this topic may I express my admiration and congratulations to
all who, in whatever way, have contributed to this wonderful
endorsement of our improvement journey.
